Nicolas Encina
CEO, Entrepeneur & Executive Advisor
Nicolas Encina, M.S., M.S., M.B.A., is the Executive Director of the International Consortium on Newborn Sequencing (ICoNS), a global alliance of thought-leaders, genomic scientists, technicians, clinicians and stakeholders who share a vision of responsibly implementing newborn sequencing to predict treatable disease in babies and intervene before symptoms begin. Since helping to cofound the consortium in 2022, Nic has led its growth and influence to become the premier alliance in newborn sequencing globally, with a world-class annual conference of 500+ attendees and a membership that spans 50+ countries.
Nic is also the Director of Strategy & Technology, Cofounder, of the Precision Population Health research program at Harvard School of Public Health (Ariadne Labs) and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he has assembled an elite team of genomics, technical and implementation experts who specialize in bridging the genomics gap from specialty care to primary care, thereby pioneering and ushering in the era of precision medicine at population scales.
